
For my final year project in B Design (Visual Communication) I designed a typeface and publication based on free jazz, improvisation and experimentation. My first attempt at a typeface, ieyeaye, is bold, condensed and quirky, with a ridiculous x-height and comes with over 230 glyphs.
The publication works as both a type specimen, as well as a space for experimentation with a spirit and aesthetic influenced by the musical features of free and improvised jazz.
